Extensions
2022 Rue Bias, Nantes FR
Extensions proposes four new sculptures including a cylindrical tower and incorporates two existing architectural relics: the remains of a factory wall and a carpark built in the fifties.
These existing features and the orange colour found on the wall fragment were the departing point for the conception of this work. The ‘new’ and the ‘old’ share the same visual language of geometrical shapes and a palette made of orange and contrasting greens.
The six elements thus linked in space and time transformed a somewhat dislocated part of the city into a place to muse, sit and look. The towering cylinder offers new vistas through its many openings onto its urban settings.
